/ ARTIST & EDUCATOR
In addition to making art and teaching, I enjoy spending time outdoors, watching spooky movies, reading spooky books, doing vegan people stuff, baking challah, wrestling with dogs, being anxious, learning Yiddish -- oy vey! --, dabbling with digital photography, sipping coffee (or whiskey) with friends, and collecting vintage denim jackets.
I split my time between Columbus OH, where I teach illustration topics part time at Columbus College of Art & Design, and Barnet VT, where my partner and I are fixing up an old farmhouse.
ABOUT ME
Here's the little blurb I like sharing with folks... His paintings and drawings, populated with odd characters, bend, break, flatten, complicate and simplify the fantastic and the everyday. His works offer a space for meditation, disarming with humor and inviting viewers to reflect on their inner and outer worlds with a sense of hope, gratitude, and wonder.
I started working as a professional artist in 2002. Since that time, I’ve worked on a variety of projects in a variety of markets, including editorial, marketing, publishing, branding, product, motion, environmental, non-profit, private, and commercial.
I hold a BFA in Illustration and an MFA in Animation.
